Who should attend
PAT Testing is a skill that can be learned by almost anyone (over the age of 18) such as office maintenance staff or landlords. Some basic electrical knowledge is useful but not essential.
Course Content
We will take you through the practical disciplines and formal recording processes, as well as preparing you for the Online Exam. Content includes the following;
- Electrical Safety
- Regulations role and responsibilities
- Insulation and Earthing
- Classification of Appliances
- Preliminary Inspection, Test Precautions
- Using a PAT Tester
- Labelling tests
- Implementing a test programme
- Practical Assessment
Outcomes
This is an intensive 1 day of training with a 50 question multiple choice open book exam on the second day (return within 30 days) and we recommend that prior to attending this course, you purchase a copy of the IET Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment to study and familiarise yourself with.
