It is intended to ensure that on completion of this course, individuals are conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (2015) (17th Edition with Amd 3).

The aim of this 3 day electrical training course is to gain familiarity with the layout, content and application of BS 7671 17th Edition Regulations. This course is classroom based, it introduces the regulations and covers their application through explanation and worked examples.

The purposes, structure and content of the IEE On-Site Guide will also be covered and delegates will appreciate how to use this in support of BS 7671.

There are eight units making up the course relating to Parts 1-7 and the Appendices of BS 7671:2008:(2015)

• Scope, object and fundamental principles

• Definitions

• Assessment of general characteristics

• Protection for safety

• Selection and erection of equipment

• Inspection and testing

• Special installations or locations

• Appendices

We will explore in detail how to use BS7671:2008(2015) and IEE on-site Guide, we will advise on preparation for the City & Guilds 2382 examination which is: 2-hour multiple-choice examination. The exam is ‘open book’, meaning during the two hour exam you will be able to refer to the 17th edition book.
